Mother Minerva[]
Minerva Actual, usually referred to as Mother Minerva or simply Minerva by those with little respect for astromantic naming conventions, is the largest and wealthiest shrine world in the sub-sector. While Tanta may be the spiritual heart of the Creed in the subsector, Minerva is the administrative capital, and thus enjoys the many privileges that come with it.
It is bright and bold with disgustingly ostentatious displays of wealth. Every inch of icy wasteland is covered in hab spires, grand cathedrals, teeming markets and bustling space ports, reaching from frozen coast to frozen coast, spanning the entire single supercontinent. The entire planet is a bloated, heaving factory churning out the single most important commodity in the universe: faith.
Fortress of Faith[]
A holy palace covering hundreds of square miles and bristling with weaponry. It is an autonomous city, the beating heart of the Ecclesiarchy, the bastion of the Minervan Janissaries, the home of the infamous sacred courts of Doth, the final destination of the region’s most heinous heretics and witches, the convening of the Council of Deacons and the seat of Arch Deacon Septimus Julius the Pious.
The Council of Deacons[]
The Council of Deacons sits in the Fortress of Faith on Mother Minerva and makes all the strategic administrative decisions for the Ecclesiarchy. Each Deacon is in charge of a demesne, roughly the size of a system but can be greater or smaller depending on population density and importance of the planets that fall within it.
The Council chamber is vast and dark, illuminated only by hundreds of lantern-bearing cherubim that cackle and screech among the unseen rafters high above the heads of visitors. The floor is polished marble and footsteps echo on it with the loud report of a battle cannon.
The Council table is surprisingly humble, a short oak table in the centre of the darkened hall, around which a variety of fat, wealthy priests exchanged hushed words as you advance across the painfully empty floor towards them.

City of Fingers[]
A ring of hab-spires circling the Fortress of Faith and the main residence of the workforce. The Ecclesiarchy claim the name is from the awe-inspiring sight of so many fingers reaching to the heavens in worship of the God-Emperor. The locals claim it's the name given by overly-trusting pilgrims who find themselves light of purse when wandering the city at night.
The city is also home to weekly witch-burning festivals, the Djocovic Theatrics Academy, the Watchtower, and the Palaestra Lucha Exodrome.
Jocovic Theatrics Academy[]
Built in an old munitions dump, surrounded by thick buttresses walls and huge banners a dozen storeys high. It is the largest Schola Choral for the teachings of the Chorus of Iohan Jocovic. The drill yard has been made out to be a colossal auditorium, and in place of gun batteries on the walls of the compound are massive directional vox-channel blasting out hits from the hundreds of Jocovic hopefuls that line the walls.
It is run by Preacher Bonlea, a hunched old man with wispy ear hair, but can still belt out hymns at an ear-splitting level.
The Watchtower[]
A tall parochial church spire in the City of Fingers. By day it sees to the business of administering and collecting taxes from the hundred other churches and shrines in the city of fingers. By night it transforms into a meeting place and auction house for the rich and powerful.
It is run by Deacon Olivia, a charlatan who makes her parish’s ends meet by any means necessary. She has faith in the Creed and the God-Emperor, but not the people who do things in his name.
She is not on the Council of Deacons due to a clerical error several years ago that brought her great shame and bankrupted her parish. She was exiled to the City of Fingers as a way of getting her out of the picture, but she has since been determined to prove them wrong and fights tooth and nail for every Throne Gelt.
The Palaestra Lucha Exodrome[]
Paleastra Lucha is a high octane mix of ultra violence, breath-taking acrobatic feats and grand theatre - it’s gladiatorial combat with capes and glitter
A common face in the Exodrome is Victor the Pardoner - a loan shark, argumentative, antagonistic and proud of it.
